Dr Jon and Josiah

INSOMIA

Our son Josiah is 2 1/2 yrs old and since birth was always a "light sleeper" requiring very little sleep, or so we thought.  He had the same routine since birth: go to sleep between 10:30 - 11pm, awake at 1am, 4am and 6am. There were many times when he would wake up 10 - 11 times during the night literally!

We got really concerned because this kid wasn't sleeping! And I noticed he would also stop breathing for 15 seconds at a time during the night. So we brought him to the pediatrician and told him our concerns. The doctor did a sleep study at Goryeb's Children's Hospital (Morristown Memorial). We were told they found no problem, and that he was a very efficient sleeper and required very little sleep, he was advanced in all areas with no growth problems so do not worry about it. Also we were told by doctors that it was "normal" for breastfed infants and toddlers to wake 6-12 times a night until they wean! (What?!) Two pediatricians told us to switch to formula and this wouldn't happen.

Well my husband and I were still concerned not to mention worn out from lack of sleep! Friends finally talked us into going to see this chiropractor in Bernardsville.

After seeing Dr. Jon two times, our son Josiah slept through the night for the FIRST TIME EVER in his life ( 10pm - 6:30am)! Let me just say Mom and Dad were suffering because of his sleep habits and now getting a full night's sleep after  2 1/2 years is amazing! Oh, I forgot to mention Josiah has also been taking consistent afternoon naps as well!
